These terms apply to staff accounts on The Shearing Board™ platform. Your account is provided and managed by your employer (the shearing contractor).
1. Your Account
Your login is provided by your employer. You agree to:
- Keep your login details secure and not share your password
- Only access information you are authorised to access
- Use the platform for work purposes only
- Not allow any other person to use your account
Your employer can suspend or remove your access at any time.
2. Data Recorded About You
As part of normal platform use, the following information about you may be recorded:
- Your name, contact details, and employment information
- Your tally records (sheep shorn per day, shed work completed)
- Animal welfare and health & safety logs you submit
- Induction and training records
- Leave requests and availability
This information is used by your employer to manage their shearing operation, meet compliance and employment obligations, and produce operational reports.
3. Data Sharing
Your employer's operational data — including tally records and compliance logs — may be shared anonymously with wool industry bodies and government agencies as part of industry reporting. Anonymous means your name and personal details are never included. Only aggregated work metrics (for example, total sheep shorn, number of welfare incidents) are included in any external reporting.
Your personal details are never shared externally without your consent.
4. Your Privacy Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (NZ users) or the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Australian users), you have the right to request access to and correction of the personal information your employer holds about you on this platform. Contact your employer in the first instance, or contact us directly at admin@shearcore.biz.
5. Platform Use
You must not:
- Copy, scrape, download, or attempt to extract platform data or content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to replicate any part of the platform
- Attempt to access data beyond your authorised role
- Misuse the platform or interfere with its operation
- Use platform data for any purpose other than the work for which it was collected
6. Monitoring
Your use of the platform may be monitored by your employer and by ShearCore Limited for security, compliance, and support purposes.
